Ghost Meet Ghost

Here are the lyrics to a song i have written recently. This song is not meant for any album or band I am doing or anything. The song has a folk/alt-country vibe to it.

Ghost Meet Ghost
Lyrics By: Billy Wiginton

I’ve been walking through this city
The streets are calling out for You
Looking for Your ghost
I went driving through the suburbs
I took one look around, and realized
Everyone is dead in this town

I could take my ghost
And let him out
But he might get hurt
I will wash my ghost
And rinse him out
Then let him go

I was floating in the ocean
Sinking in a ship
Wanting this to end
I was lying there in the middle of the day
With my guard down, really confused
That is when I heard him say

I could take your ghost
And string him out
And make it hurt
I’ll take back my ghost
And keep searching for the One
That I need most

I am searching in the heavens
Wondering when this cloud will give out
Exactly how far is down
I’ve been wandering in the forest
Looking through the trees
And underneath the leaves

I have found Your ghost
Among the dirty ones
The ones who hurt

I went walking in the meadow
The birds they sing so free
The flowers scream Your name.

I will keep Your ghost
In my heart
And keep Him close

The Divine Frenzy [The Inspiration]

I’m under the influence.

Breathe your breath.
Mine’s not clean.

Clear the air.
Clear my head.

This endeavor is intellectual.
Can you hear it?
Not at all scientific.
Can you feel it?
It’s poetic madness.
Do you love it?

Strike down the muse.
She’s a liar.

A Wolf. A Witch. A Dragon.

These lyrics are newly written for a concept album about creatures that are mythological/mystical and that are usually featured in stories/fairy tales. They differ, not necessarily stylistically but by content from the previous lyrics i posted for the An Unintelligent Accident concept album. there will be more soon. i hope you enjoy.

A Wolf. A Witch. A Dragon.

Pull up a chair
Sit down at the dinner table
It’s not polite to stare
Don’t point your finger in my direction

It’s getting weird in here
Comfort is an issue
I need to think fast
Time to make my move

It’s getting late
Dinner is almost done
Time to head home
Thank you all for coming over

We’re gonna get it together one day
Until then lets just tolerate

I want you to know that this is strange
I can’t hide the way I feel
I think it’s creepy
to see you all sitting here
Leaving everything to be desired
Talk of pigs, and spells, and fire
I guess everyone has their own part

Lets meet for coffee
And we can talk about some books
I found a good one the other day
It’s filled with murders and crooks

Lets not try to justify
The actions that we bring to life
We would be sitting here all day

Can you please not fly around?
Whether it be with wings or a broom
And you’ve been blowing houses down
Now it’s time to change your tune

No more magic
No more deception
No more breathing fire
at least not in my direction

Now this is what we were hoping for
Not just tolerance
Redemption has crept its way into the story
Maybe there’ll be a happy ending after all

I want you to know this isn’t strange
I can’t hide the way I feel
I think its great,
to see you feasting all together
Leaving nothing to be desired
No pigs, no spells, no fire
Now no one can keep you apart.
